why natural?

More than treating symptoms

With natural therapies we aim to create the conditions for the body to respond and find its own balance again. We use different techniques to give the body the support and impulse it needs, respecting each person's pace and individuality.

We don't do the work for your body. We create the conditions and give it the impulse it needs to respond.

What we do

Different techniques and approaches to support and stimulate the body, at each person's own pace.

Individual care

Every person is unique. Care is adapted to your history, your needs and what your body shows at that moment.

A whole-person view

We look at the person as a whole: body, mind, emotions and environment — and how they relate to each other.

Rainbow Tree was born from a simple idea: everyone deserves a time and a place where they are truly listened to. Each session is built from that listening — combining massage, reflexology and Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques according to what your body shows at that moment.

What is the difference between a relaxation massage and a therapeutic massage?

A relaxation massage uses a gentle rhythm and broad movements to relieve stress and promote wellbeing. A therapeutic massage is more targeted: it works on specific areas of tension with adapted techniques and pressure, and may include Tuina, cupping or moxa. It's recommended for pain, discomfort or stiffness.

What is cupping therapy?

It's a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique in which cups are placed on the skin to create gentle suction. It aims to stimulate blood circulation, relieve muscle tension and promote balance of body and mind.

Does cupping leave marks on the skin?

Yes, it commonly leaves temporary circular marks, ranging from pink to purple. They're caused by the suction on the skin, aren't usually painful and normally fade within a few days. The intensity varies from person to person.

What is reflexology?

A practice dating back thousands of years in which specific points on the feet, believed to be associated with different areas of the body, are stimulated. Many people choose reflexology to relax, relieve stress and look after their wellbeing.

What is auriculotherapy?

A technique inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine that stimulates specific points on the ear to support the body's balance. It can be done on its own or alongside other therapies.

Which Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques are used?

Rainbow Tree draws on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) through techniques such as Tuina (therapeutic massage), cupping (circulation and tension relief), moxa (energising warmth), auriculotherapy (ear points) and other complementary wellbeing practices.

Do I need to be in pain to have a massage?

No. You can look after yourself without needing a reason. A relaxation massage is ideal for taking a break, switching off and recharging — even when you feel no pain.

Do natural therapies replace medical care?

No. Natural therapies are complementary and do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. Before your session, let the therapist know about any health conditions, pregnancy or medication so your care can be adapted to you.

How long does a session last and how much does it cost?

It depends on the therapy and on what your body needs at the time. For prices and availability, contact us on +351 963 235 844 or by email.

Which areas do you serve?

The practice is in Vila Nova de Poiares and welcomes people from across the region: Coimbra, Lousã, Penacova, Miranda do Corvo, Arganil, Tábua and surrounding areas.
